Transportation
Airport Shuttle: Checker Airport Express provides transportation between the airport and the hotel with vans (blue with yellow lettering) leaving the lower level of the airport (outside the baggage claim area) every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. The fare for a one-way trip between the airport and the hotel is $10 U.S., while the cost of a round trip is $18 U.S. if the return trip is scheduled at least four hours prior to departure. Checker Airport Express accepts cash and major credit cards. Transportation Around Downtown Area: THE TROLLEY - In addition to the regular public bus, the city of Albuquerque also has a trolley. The trolley, which costs $.75 per ride, runs from 10:30am until 6:00pm, although it sometimes runs later in the summer and early fall. Although passengers are free to use the trolley to ride around the city and take in the sites, it also makes frequent stops, so passengers can get off and explore on foot. The trolley begins its route at the Albuquerque Zoo and then travels to the Aquarium and Botanic Garden. From there, it winds through both Old Town and Historic Downtown. The trolley then continues up Central Avenue, or, as it's more famously known, Route 66. After Downtown, the trolley passes by the University of New Mexico as it makes its way to Nob Hill, a neighborhood known for its restaurants and shops. At Nob Hill, the trolley turns around and works its way back towards the zoo. TROLLEY ROUTE & TIMES Tours to Santa Fe: Aboot About Santa Fe, (505) 988-2774.
