We
are pleased to announce that the Congress Fellowship program will
be offered again at the 7th US National Congress on Computational
Mechanics. Over 75 outstanding young investigators and students applied
to the program in 2001. The
Fellowships are open to students and young researchers.

Guidelines
and Requirements:
Participation:
Student and young
investigator fellowships are available to support participation in
the 7th USNCCM. Student applicants must be enrolled in a graduate
program at the time of the conference; young investigator applicants
must be within five years of their last graduate degree at the time
of the conference.
Eligibilty
Eligibilty for an award is also contingent on active conference participation
through the acceptance of an abstract at one of the conference minisysmposia.
Awards:
Students awards consist of a $500 grant and a waiver of conference
registration. Young investigator grants are $1000 and also include
a waiver of the conference registration.
Submission:
Application for a fellowship requires submission of the fellowship
application form on this web page and two letters of recommendation
supporting the fellowship application. The application form, a copy
of the submitted minisymposium abstract and letters of recommendation
should be faxed to the fellowship review committee at (505) 844-8081
or mailed to USNCCM Fellowship Committee, c/o David K. Gartling, MS
0826, Sandia National Laboratories, P. O. Box 5800, Albuquerque, New
Mexico, 87185-0826. E-mail submissions will not be considered. Fellowship
applications must be submitted prior to February 24, 2003. Fellowship
award winners will be notified by April 1, 2003.
