Hotair Balloon Rides!!

Accompanying Persons Fees and Special Events
Tuesday, July 29, 2003:

A special fee is offered to accompanying persons. This includes the welcome reception and awards banquet. The accompanying persons can register for the conference on-line.

A tour option for accompanying persons is available at additional cost. This tour is organized by the Destination Southwest and the can be reserved by filling out the conference registration form.

The tour begins at one of Albuquerque's most interesting landmarks, the Sandia Peak Tram. The tram is the world's longest free span cable tram, and offers magnificent views 2.7 miles above deep canyons. You will "fly" through four of the seven life-zones as you make your way to the top. Viewing these zones is equivalent to a trip from Mexico City to Alaska. Once atop Sandia Peak you will marvel at the 11,000 square miles of breathtaking scenery. Keep in mind it is typically 15 degrees colder at the Peak, than it is in the valley.

Back at the base of the tram you will board your deluxe coach and continue on your tour of Albuquerque.

Your next stop is the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. This Cultural Center represents the 19 Pueblo Indian Tribes of New Mexico. Enjoy a visit through the museum, and then marvel at the beautiful Native American arts, crafts, jewelry, paintings, and pottery in the galleries and gift shops.

Your last stop is where Albuquerque began in 1706, historic Old Town. A brief walking tour will introduce you to this beautiful plaza. You will then have a brief time to shop and explore. You can enjoy the boutiques and galleries, or take in the wonderful Albuquerque Museum, with historical exhibitis abou the "Four Centuries of Albuquerque".

You will board the coach at 5:30 pm and be delivered to the Albuquerque Convention Center in time to attend the US Congress Banquet and awards dinner.

PRICE PER PERSON: $40.00
(A $1 per person gratuity to the Guide and $1 per person to the Driver is standard
